Water Baptism is a doctrine of the New Testament preached initially by John the Baptist, commanded by Jesus Christ to His Apostles, and taught to the entire world. After conversion, your decision to be baptized is an act of obedience to the command and will of God; it is an outward sign of the change that has taken place within. Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38.
The word baptism means to be wholly submerged in water. We baptize "in the name of God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Son and God, the Holy Spirit". As you come out of the waters your sins are washed away because of His promise of forgiveness through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. You are now resurrected to a new life in which you experience transformation through the Holy Spirit working within. That transformation is both immediate and progressive. You will notice some immediate changes and progressive changes throughout your life. Matthew 3:16-17
After you have received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you can begin to prepare your heart and make the commitment to be baptized. Water Baptism is available every Sunday at both the 9:00 am & 11:00 am services. Listen for the invitation and respond by going to the front to meet the leaders who will guide you through the process. We have every need covered, private change rooms, lockers, robes, towels, blow dryers, etc.
If you have some specific needs (disabilities or other concerns) that require attention, please feel free to call the church at 519.972.5977.
In every instance in the Bible where a baptism was taking place, it was always consenting adults who experienced conversion, and belief in Christ, who were baptized. Acts 8:12
